Bruno Barreto, Brazil) and East Side Story (dir. Carlos Portugal, USA).&lt;/strong&gt; Romantic screwball comedy, “O Casamento”, retells the Bard’s tragic love story with twists, turns and lots of sports fanaticism- Brazilian-style. In his debut film, East Side Story, Carlos Portugal takes on culture clashes, sexuality and gentrification in East L.A to shake up this hilarious yet heartfelt romantic drama.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;ILFF is also pleased to announce the 10th ILFF Jury Award Recipients presented at the closing night festivities on November 19, 2006 before the screening of Jose “Pepe” Bojorquez’s astonishing mystical fable ‘Mar de sueños/ Sea of Dreams (Mexico, USA) at CineArts, Santana Row, San Jose. Spanning nine Bay Area cities that include San Francisco, San Rafael, Mill Valley, Larkspur. Oakland and Berkeley, fans will enjoy screenings for the first time at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland, the new Century Theater in Redwood City and at Skyline College in San Bruno.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The International Latino Film Festival – San Francisco Bay Area was created to give voice to Latino cultural - expression through the powerful medium of film. The ILFF began as a grassroots organization ten years ago, presenting just 10 films at a single venue. The Festival showcases the best in new international Latino cinema, encourages emerging talent and pays tribute to celebrated Latino actors, directors and producers. The Festival showcases the best in new international Latino cinema, applauds emerging talent and pays tribute to celebrated Latino actors, directors and producers.
